EXIT TORONTO

I was in Toronto, Canada for only two days and ended up returning to a vegetable market in Chinatown for three hours to make this sequence of photographs. I was struck by the heavy plastic curtains that customers had to push through to get in and out. It took a physical effort especialy for the older men and women. Their reactions varied: some were oblivious to my presence and lost in their thoughts. Many were preoccupied with checking their reciepts while others noticed me and reacted accordingly. It all took place in a split second. Some were annoyed while others were amused.
