LAHORE PAKISTAN (2013): ISLAMABAD

Islamabad was completely unexpected. Built in the early 60's, it's a planned and modern city. There were no buses or cinemas, and each neighborhood is in a designated zone with a market situated in the middle. It is surrounded by mountains and green spaces are everywhere. Throughout the city there are cement posts in the middle of the road where soldiers stand at checkpoints. Public buildings and new shopping malls had heavy security, where guards opened trunks and checked the insides and undersides of cars.
