LAHORE PAKISTAN (2013): SCHOOLS

It was the end of the school year in Pakistan. What struck me as I watched the kids on their way to school was how they seemed to be so serious, almost like adults. Perhaps this was because the overall literacy rate is one of the lowest in the world, just over 50%, so education is not taken for granted but is a privilege.
